If you ever have a threaded anything come unthreaded then listen here. Some of the drive and brake pullies have come loose on the threaded rear wheel shafts while 'coasting'. If this ever happens, do not fret (that is an old way of saying getting upset). Just go to your friendly automotive parts store and buy some Permatex medium blue. Follow the directions, clean the threads, apply the Pematex and the problem will go away. The Blue 'medium' will allow you to remove the pulley for service or replacement. The red is pretty much permanent and will, more than likely, never come apart again. You be the choice. |
