This is the famous Model 90 All Weather Shuang Zheng Brake. This is a very reliable design and we have been told by the manufacturer that over 1 billion of these units are in use all over the world. This unit has a heavy chrome coating with electroplated fittings to give many years of service. It will not do well in a corrosive or sandy environment such as the beach or salt air as can be expected (remember we do not recommend going off road and that includes the beach). The inner constricting band is riveted to the inner spring tensioning system. These units are tested & run in using the brake drum assembly to round out the band and make your break in a breeze since we have done most of the work for you. What else did you expect?
